An efficient emulsification procedure for parenteral soybean oil‐in‐water, based on current know‐how on transitional inversion, was investigated. A fine droplet size lipid emulsion was produced using much lower mechanical energy than the typical industrial process. The aqueous phase was added gradually during mixing and various rates of water addition, as well as surfactant concentration, were evaluated. It was found that as addition rate and surfactant content increased, flow behavior changed significantly at intermediate water content, becoming highly viscoelastic. This behavior was related to the formation of a liquid crystalline phase that, at later mixing stages, turned into small droplets. Digitization in the power industry enables wide connectivity among multiple new entrants such as DERs, prosumers, and P2P counterparts within or outside the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). The use of DLT to improve resilience in the power grid has growing support, but new technology provides new opportunities for adversaries to cause harm. This work completed by the Cybersecurity- focused task force of IEEE SA P2418.5 evaluates the potential risks by applying the MITRE ATT&CK ® ICS matrix to the DLT Engineering and Cybersecurity Stack designed for power systems applications.
Purpose This study aims to identify factors affecting firms' adoption of digital transformation by examining firm- and macro-level factors. Design/methodology/approach A logistic regression model was employed to examine a sample of 618 listed firms on Vietnamese stock exchanges from 2012 to 2021. Findings The research results reveal that firm performance, size and age have significant positive impacts on digital transformation adoption (DTA), indicating that well-resourced and experienced firms are more inclined to embrace digital initiatives. In contrast, financial leverage and liquidity are significantly negatively related to DTA, suggesting that financial constraints or conservative financial strategies act as barriers. Both macroeconomic variables – GDP and inflation – exert a significant negative influence, highlighting the limits of economic growth in the absence of institutional support. Research limitations/implications The research suggests that firms should leverage strong performance and organisational maturity to drive digital investment, while recognising that liquidity alone does not ensure readiness without leadership and strategic focus. For policymakers, the results stress that fostering digital transformation requires more than GDP growth – it demands supportive institutions, incentives and national strategies. Originality/value This study offers an empirical analysis of digital transformation in Vietnam, an under-researched emerging economy. By combining firm-level financials and macroeconomic factors within a multi-theory framework, it reveals the novel finding that liquidity negatively relates to digital adoption – contradicting conventional wisdom. The research highlights how institutional voids and uncertainty hinder transformation, providing a localised yet generalisable model for other emerging markets.

Bali, a global tourism icon, faces significant challenges in distributing tourist visits to local destinations at the rural level due to the digital divide. This community service article aims to describe the implementation of digital-based tourism creativity development training for local destination managers in Bali to increase their attractiveness and competitiveness. The main problems identified among partners (Pokdarwis in Bali) were reliance on traditional marketing and the low quality of digital content capable of representing the uniqueness of local culture and nature. The community service method was carried out using an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which included visual content creation workshops, cultural narrative-based copywriting training ( storytelling ), and social media algorithm optimization. The community service results showed a significant increase in participants' creative capacity in producing aesthetic and informative content, as well as increased interaction on partner destinations' social media channels. The conclusion of this activity emphasizes that the digitalization of local tourism in Bali must be rooted in the creative packaging of local wisdom, so as to attract quality tourist segments and support the sustainable recovery of the creative economy post-pandemic.
This study aimed to compare the diagnostic accuracy of Pediatric Nutrition Screening Tool (PNST) and Pediatric Yorkhill Malnutrition Score (PYMS) in Turkish pediatric inpatients. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 996 inpatients aged 1 to 16 years. The prevalence of malnutrition was 31.8%. The PNST identified 28.7% (original cutoffs) and 62.6% (adjusted cutoffs) of patients as at risk, whereas PYMS categorized 44.3% as at high risk of malnutrition. The sensitivity of PNST with original cutoffs (52.1%) was lower than that of PYMS (85.2%) and PNST with adjusted cutoffs (83.3%), especially for acute malnutrition (67.6% vs 95.3% and 94.6%, respectively). Considering the importance of early identification and treatment of malnutrition, PYMS and PNST with adjusted cutoffs may be useful as a screening tool in this population.

The formulation of reading tasks and the application of cognitive strategies are pivotal in fostering functional literacy. Functional literacy goes beyond basic reading skills; it involves the ability to comprehend, analyze, and synthesize information effectively, which is crucial in academic and professional settings. Clear Formulation of Reading Tasks; Application of Cognitive Strategies; Development of Functional Literacy. The correct formulation of reading tasks and the strategic application of cognitive skills are fundamental to developing functional literacy. These practices empower students to engage actively with texts, enhance comprehension, and cultivate lifelong learning skills essential for academic success and beyond. By integrating these elements, educators can effectively prepare students to navigate and thrive in a diverse range of reading and learning environments. The article discusses the low performance of Kazakhstan's students in terms of reading literacy in the PISA study, a measure of functional literacy, and their difficulties in completing tasks. At the same time, the research experience and results of using the PISA tasks created by the teachers themselves and the methodology of learning them (cognitive strategies) are comprehensively analysed.
This work seeks to ascertain the role and reach of internet and social networks in information society as diffusers of hate speech and its mediations, such as new interpretations, philosophical points of view and legal analyzes. The expansion of the world wide web and subsequently the social networks formed in this virtual medium, impressively potentiated the offense to people’s honor and many kinds of intolerance. The enhancement of hate speech was intensified as quickly as Internet and social networks have settled in our society. Opinions, ideas and feelings are easily manifested in a pace as never before imagined. However, it is important to point out that hate speech is closely related to minorities and social exclusion, being used today as a strong aspect and condition of this context and concept. Considering the digital environment as a result of the artificial environment created by man, hate speech degrades this type of environment, turning against the respect toward individual and collective dignity, values ensured by the constitution. The degradation of the environment affects its health.
