A simple programmer for process control

For frequencies lower than 5 cycles per hour, this instrument will program the angular position of a shaft. The program is cut on a paper cam whose profile is followed by a lamp and a phototransistor which drive relays to energize a two-speed motor on the output shaft. Performance is described.
