An Adaptive Transform Coding Algorithm

Abstract : An adaptive transform coding algorithm based on a recursive procedure in the transform domain has been developed. Both the quantization parameters and bit assignment are dynamically determined and thus are closely matched to the actual image structure. Overhead requirements are minimal.
