Abstract
新しいワクチンの開発と導入によりワクチンで予防できる疾患, いわゆる Vaccine Preventable Diseases(VPD) が増えている. 小児の耳鼻科領域におけるワクチンとしては, インフルエンザ菌 b 型 (ヒブ) と肺炎球菌が特に重要であり, ワクチン導入後同感染症は減少傾向にある.
